  1. I found this email address for all new Adobe downloads I think you will find useful:

Also, here is my current list of URLs that seem to work: Drives me crazy that companies force use of another app before download.

    Adobe AIR for Windows

Adobe Reader — TWO CHOICES –
    1. — Just CHANGE the URL to reflect the latest version.

    2. — Enter your Operating System, language and version of Adobe reader, click on the Download now button. This downloads the OFFLINE installer for Adobe Reader. Don’t forget to UNCHECK the virus check from Mcaffee, built into the installer.

  2. @Navjot, the page your link goes to offers options for the download, but they are incorrect. If I choose the U.K. link for XP3, example, and click download, I am given a download window for the U.S. version. Are you sure this site is genuine?
I have an Adobe symbol in my task bar that is new and is prompting me to update; I click on it which brings up an update window for version 11.0.01. There is a click option for ‘Details’ underlined and in blue. When I hover the cursor over it, it changes to a hand, but when I click on it nothing happens. This then, would seem to be fake?

    1. I can confirm that the URL Navjot linked is legitimate and gives the correct version of Adobe Reader download. Since Adobe Reader was updated to 11.0.2, you should download the latest version of Adobe Reader. Adobe Reader 11.0.1 is not available on the download page which Navjot gave.

  3. The latest, according to Adobe is 11.0.1 — which is out since 11.0.01 Their FTP does not appear to have this version either, and I don’t want to use their hated downloader.

Y’know, numbers are cheap last I heard. couldn’t they just bump the version and add a 2 instead of just dropping zeros??

    1. I stand corrected. My Seconia PSI reported that 11.01 version as the latestinstead of the correct 11.001 version. The specific links above are, and were correct. (Good cleanup would be to remove both of these comments now, since they cancel each other out.)

Great work and a great site!

      1. Adobe’s version numbers are quite confusing. When we go to the FTP, we will get the version 11.0.01 while the news sites are reporting version as 11.0.1.

If you go to the About section of Adobe Reader, it will show the version number as 11.0.1. And if you go to the properties of the downloaded setup file, you will get the version number 11.0.1.36.

I hope all of these are correct and belong to the same product 😀
