How to Find Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Folder

Minecraft is a game that allows you to spend hours creating, enchanting, crafting, fighting, exploring, etc. Minecraft is also available on the Windows 10 platform. If you are a Minecraft lover, you should definitely play it on your PC.

Also, the behavior and resource packs are installed from the same location. Consequently, once you know the location of your save, you may manually add custom resources and behaviours to Minecraft.

Where are Minecraft files stored in Windows 10?

Minecraft files are saved in Windows 10 in the following folder:

%appdata%\.minecraft

This path is for the Java version of Minecraft.

If you have installed Minecraft from Microsoft Store, you should look for the data in the following folder:

%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds

Minecraft Windows 10 edition stores its saved data in its own folder inside the AppData directory.

To open the folder, follow the steps below:

Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog

Enter the following in the input field:
%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds

Press the OK button.

This will open the Minecraft folder for you.

In this folder, you will find folders with random names. Each folder points to the world you have created in Minecraft. You will need to find and backup the world of your choice. Otherwise, just backup the complete folder to backup all the worlds.
