I have been reading about a lot of default Windows utilities alternatives but had not seen an alternative to Windows Device Manager till now. But now I’ve found a very good alternative to Windows Device Manager. DevManView from Nirsoft is an alternative Windows Device Manager which displays all the devices in a table instead of the tree view.
DevManView is a portable utility that can be used for many purposes. It can enable, disable and uninstall devices. In addition to the device management of the local computer, it can also show and manage the devices of remote computers but you need to have administrative previleges on that computer.
The biggest task for which I use DevManView is that it can also manage the devices of an un-bootable Windows. So if you have corrupt Windows which can not boot, then you can use DevManView to troubleshoot, enable or disable the problematic device.
