There are some applications which are incompatible with Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and may not work if you have Windows 7 or Windows 2008 and install Service Pack 1.
While most programs are compatible and continue to work as expected but some programs become incompatible when SP1 is installed. This is majorly due to the security, reliability and feature updates included in Windows 7 SP1. Here’s the list of applications which don’t work with Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 2008 SP1:
- Lenovo System Update
- Ninja Trader
And following programs lose some of their functionality when Service Pack 1 is installed:
- Ideazon Z Engine
The vendors of the above applications may release fixes to this incompatibility issue in the future but these programs seem to have to solution for these issues at the moment. This behavior of applications is described in KB2492938.
You can download the list of applications compatible with Windows 7 and you can also download Windows 7 SP1 if you have Technet/MSDN account otherwise you can download Windows 7 SP1 RTM.
