How To Enable Telnet In Windows 7 [2 Ways]

Telnet is disabled in Windows 7 by default. As telnet is not a secure way to communicate in a network, most of the people use SSH or other secure protocols for network communication. Although disabled by default, Windows 7 does include Telnet and you can enable it using 2 ways:

1- Programs And Features

To enable Telnet, go to Start Menu Search and search for Programs and Features. Open Programs and Features select Turn Windows features on or off. A new window will open where you can check Telnet Client or Telnet Server and then press OK to install the selected features. This will install Telnet Client or Telnet Server whichever you selected.

enable telnet

2- Command Prompt
