Sticky Notes is a built in tool in Windows 7 which most people don’t know about. To open Sticky Notes, just go to your Start Menu search and write sticky notes and select the first result. This will open Sticky Notes on your desktop.
If you are a frequent user of Sticky Notes and want to backup or restore Sticky Notes then you can use the following method to backup your Sticky Notes.
Backup Sticky Notes
In order to backup Sticky Notes, go to the following folder:
Where C: is you Windows drive and Username is the user you are logged in.
Please note that AppData is a hidden folder so you’ll need to show hidden files and folders in order to see the folder.
In the Sticky Notes folder you will find one file called StickyNotes.snt
This is the file that contains all the Sticky Notes you have created. In order to backup the Sticky Notes, you can backup this file.
Restore Sticky Notes
In order to restore Sticky Notes, you will need to place the same file that you backed up in the same folder.
