I have given download links for Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Beta, Windows 7 SP1 RC and now Windows 7 SP1 RTM leaked out. Since these downloads are in beta or RC and not final from Microsoft, so we expect that they will contain minor bugs. Some bugs were encountered in Windows 7 SP1 beta like disappearing of the CD-ROM icon etc.

Microsoft has made it easier for us to uninstall Service Pack in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008. If you are encountering problems with Service Pack installation, you can follow the steps below in order to uninstall the Service Pack.

  • Go to Windows Start Menu Search and search for installed updates.
  • Select View installed updates from the search results.
  • This will give you the list of installed Windows updates. You will need to find out Service Pack for Microsoft Windows from the updates, right click it and select Uninstall.
  • This will uninstall the service pack from the computer safely.
